I am an Associate Professor at the University of Warwick. I also teach a module at the University of Oxford and supervise students at both universities. I lead the MSc Cyber Security and Management degree.
I received my PhD., from the University of Warwick in the area of Cyber-Attack Modelling. I also received an MPhil., from the University of Birmingham. I also have an MSc., and a BSc., (and a HND for good measure).
I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I am a mentor for colleagues wishing to gain SFHEA status.
I have developed and grown numerous cyber security and digital forensics related degrees, have extensive experience in developing and leading academic programmes, I have undertaken more than 20 external examinerships and have conducted numerous institutional reviews (both national and international). I have extensive experience of course approvals – having sat on numerous course approval panels and committees and have mentored, managed and led innumerable module leaders and tutors both nationally and internationally.
I have published in the top international cyber security and digital forensics journals including: IEEE Transactions in Information Forensics and Security, Elsevier’s Computers and Security and Elsevier’s Digital Investigation. I am a reviewer for some of the top international cyber security journals including IEEE Transactions in Information Forensics and Security, Elsevier’s Computers and Security and IEEE Transactions on Dependable and Secure Computing.
In addition to my teaching and research responsibilities on the cyber security masters programmes, I am involved with the India market. I regularly visit and have guest lectured in more than 100 Indian universities/colleges and institutions including: Computer Society of India (CSI), ACM and other organisations. I am a musician. I appear regularly on TV. I also teach Indian classical music and run a music academy which teaches to more than 100 students. I build houses and I have a growing property portfolio.
